The manifestation of non-standard employment arrangements in a comparative global perspective.
2020 -2026 | VUB
Summary:
I analyse the manifestation of non-standard employment arrangements in a comparative global perspective, focusing on non-European countries. The first objective is to assess to which degree and in what forms non-standard employment arrangements emerge in various geographical contexts. Using various working conditions surveys, theoretical-based typologies are constructed, embedded in the concept of employment quality.
The second objective is to investigate the health and well-being consequences of non-standard employment arrangements in the country-specific context. Thirdly, I inquire whether the institutional background plays a role in the manifestation of the context-specific forms of non-standard employment and the outcomes for health and well-being.
