Biography:
I work as a historian and data manager for the Quetelet Center for Quantitative Historical Research at Ghent University. My research mainly focuses on the use and critical evaluation of historical sources for statistical and geospatial research. From 2001 to 2009 I worked as a programme manager at the Federal Science Policy Office in Brussels (BELSPO), where I was responsible for research programmes in the broad field of the social sciences.
