“Het zit hier vol buitenlanders!” Het wordt regelmatig gezegd aan de (virtuele) toog. Maar wat is er van aan? Hoeveel buitenlanders zijn er écht in België? Professor en demograaf Patrick Deboosere (VUB) legt uit wat het verschil is tussen een buitenlanders en een migrant, wie “nieuwe Belgen” zijn en wat “Belgen met een migratieachtergrond” betekent. En hij geeft er de cijfers bij. Want afhankelijk van wie je als buitenlander definieert, blijken er heel wat andere cijfers op te duiken… In deze video willen wij duidelijkheid scheppen bij cijfers die in de media en door politici gebruikt worden.
